1940 - The Tenth Reunion of The Newton Family

Newton Reunion July 1940

We had a fine day for our tenth reunion of the Newton Family, held on the lawn of the "Old Homestead", which I think must have been enjoyed by everyone.
By the time dinner was served I think everyone had a extra good appetite and did justice to the lovely dinner especially to Cecil Watson's "Spanish Rice".

The men and boys enjoyed themselves by playing ball, but I never did know just what the score was.
Some of the ladies gathered around to watch little Terrance Lynch as he entertained us by trying to walk, and finally he took his first step that day.
