MINUTES OF NEWTON REUNION - 2021

MINUTES OF NEWTON REUNION - 2021

Saturday, July 31st, 2021 is a beautiful day.
20 hardy souls ventured out of the Covid frightened world and happily joined together at the Newton reunion in the Middle Falls Pavilion at Letchworth State park. What a blessing to be back together again after not having the 2020 reunion.
We ate chicken and beans and desserts and enjoyed it all. The 20 of us agreed that this is only the beginning of rebuilding our Newton get together. We will send notes and stay in touch and see our numbers grow.

The minutes and finances were read and approved and then our Amanda Bressi nominated Matthew Klimek for president and Dave Nemcek seconded it.
It was approved unanimously.  Audiel  Bressi nominated Linda Pfannenschmidt for secretary and her sister Aranae seconded it. It was also approved.

Matthew was very pleased to have Eric Bressi (son in law of the late Ramon Greene)take on the job of public relations director for the Newton group. You all will hear more about it as Eric creates videos and adds to Matt's Newton Facebook page. Expect to hear more from Matthew, Linda and Eric. We want to spread the news that we (the Newton reunion) are open for business and we are welcoming you all to come back to Letchworth the last Saturday in July of 2022!

Bob Pfannenschmidt passed the hat and collected $48.00. He then led an auction and we added in $52.00 for a total contribution of $100.00. The highest selling item went to Micah Bressi, binoculars for $11.00. Nancy Austin who we happily welcomed back with Bob Kellogg got in the spirit and generously raised our totals. Thanks to all, especially our patient auctioneer Bob P ...it was fun!

Our group was small and we visited and spent time sharing with each other as we finished the yellow watermelon and apples and dip and nibbled great cakes. We all reluctantly headed home after 4PM and  vowed to be back next year with more Newtons with us.
It was a really good day!
