died Sunday (April 27, 2014) in his home.

Son of Genevieve Elizabeth (Voss) Beardsley and John Beardsley (Married on January 22, 1943)
Grandson of Lucy Samantha (Newton) Voss (1891-1990) and Lloyd Erwin Voss (1893-1984)

He was born on April 23, 1945, in Fillmore, a son of John and Genevieve Voss Beardsley.
Dale married Diane Bovee, who survives.

Mr. Beardsley served 30 years as a federal technician for the Army National Guard.

His wife,
A daughter, Lynn Marie (Lloyd) Kirwan of Nunda.
A son, David (Tina) Beardsley of Short Tract.

In addition to his father, he was predeceased by a brother, Reuben Paul Beardsley.

Family and friends may gather at the Kopler-Williams Funeral Home, 21 N. Genesee Street, Fillmore, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday (April 29, 2014).
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday (April 30, 2014) at 11 a.m. in the Short Tract Fire Hall.
Ben Beardsley, Dale's nephew will officiate. Full military honors will be accorded by members of American Legion Post No. 1155 of Fillmore.


Obituary: Bernard M. Roof. Jr. (1957-2014)

Bernard M. Roof, Jr., 56 of Richford, NY, passed away unexpectedly at his home on April 17, 2014.
Bernard is the son of Rev. Bernard Roof, Sr. and Norma.
Grandson of Milton Ervin Roof (born  Aug. 19, 1905) and Aletha James Roof born (Mar. 3, 1910)
Great Grandson of Nellie Barnes (Newton) Roof (1885-1973) and Cedric Ervin Roof (1883-1954)

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Sherry E. Roof.
Daughters: Stephany Roof and Courtney (Patrick) Rand.
Parents: Norma and Rev. Bernard Roof, Sr.
Sisters: Patricia Progansky, Shirley Engert, Rev. Roben Waddel.
Grandchildren: Jordan Roof and Sydney Rand.
Nieces, nephews, cousins and very special friends, Tony Vojtisek and Jason Truitt.

Bernie was born on Oct. 1, 1957 in Lincolnton, NC.
He attended Filmore (NY) High School and was employed as a construction Technician.
He was an avid outdoors enthusiast, especially enjoying hunting and fishing;
a creative and talented family man; a skilled wood carver and a relentless jokester.
To his friends he was The Best of the best of friends.

A Family Service will be held at their convenience.

Obituary: Paul D. Newton (1947-2014)

Paul D. Newton, 67, of Glen Aubrey, passed away April 24, 2014
at Wilson Regional Medical Center.

Paul is the son of Charles Wesley Newton (1920-2011)
Grandson of Charles Milton Newton (1892-1982)

He was predeceased by his father, Charles W. Newton, his mother, Olive Virginia Lord and brother, James Newton.
Paul is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Laurie; his children, Joel (Kelli) Newton, Amy (Karen) Newton and Tabatha (Pat) Newton, their mother, Paul's former wife and friend, Merry Ann Newton.
Five grandchildren, Kory, Jacob, Ella, Lillian and Finn; step-children, Bill Andrus and Erica Andrus; step grand-children, Dutch and Cameron; brothers, Daniel (Sharon) Newton and Charles (Dory) Newton; sister, Beth Ann Layton and sister-in-law, Cindy Newton; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Obituary: George N. Voss (1921-2013)

George N. Voss, 92, of Norwich, and formerly of East Aurora, NY, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2013 at his home.
Born February 23, 1921 in Granger, NY, George was the son of Lloyd and Lucy (Newton) Voss.
George is survived by his wife, Wilma, son, Elwyn, five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

George and Wilma were just getting settled into their new home at Norwich, NY.
Wilma got him settled in bed for the evening and since it was early, she stayed up for awhile. 
When she went into the bedroom she found him on the floor, already dead.
They will not be having any service for George because that is what he wanted. 
He will be cremated.
